3. Scope of Services
The Clearing Practice provides counselling, Pranayama Breathwork, and mindfulness-based services. These services are offered by Nick Lines, who holds the following qualifications:
• Diploma of Counselling (ACA Accredited) — ACA Registered Counsellor Level 1
• Pranayama Breathwork Facilitator — Certificate in Psychedelic-Assisted Therapy (CPAT), Anam Cara Centre
• Mindfulness Meditation Teacher — currently completing the Mindfulness Meditation Teacher Certification Program (MMTCP), expected graduation January 2027
Nick Lines is not a psychologist, psychiatrist, social worker, or medical practitioner and does not hold AHPRA registration. Counselling provided through The Clearing Practice is not a Medicare-rebatable service.
Services drawing on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) approaches are offered based on introductory diploma-level training, and not as a certified specialist in those modalities.
Psychedelic integration sessions are a supportive conversation service only and are not a clinical treatment program. Nick Lines does not administer, source, or recommend the use of any controlled substances.
4. Not a Substitute for Professional Treatment
The content of this website and the services provided by The Clearing Practice are not a substitute for:
• Diagnosis or treatment of any mental health condition by a registered medical or mental health professional
• Psychiatric or psychological treatment
• Emergency mental health care
If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, suicidal thoughts, or require urgent support, please contact a crisis service (see Section 2 above) or present to your nearest emergency department.
If you are unsure whether counselling is appropriate for your needs, we encourage you to speak with your GP or a registered mental health professional.
